We took the train up to Chatelard and had a picnic at the overlook with a great view of the chateau. From there it was all downhill through the vineyards and the small village of Tavel. The climate here is quite mild. There was a stand of tall bamboo trees and figs were ripening on the trees.
|Another chateau that is visible from the Chatelard, also from the lake steamers.|
|It's a tough job but someone has to do it. Sauecisse Vaudois en croute, figs, tomatoes and cheese with a local wine - followed by Grand Marnier ice cream|
