Thursday 7 May - Errands

Several items to take care of such as bus station and making a reservation for tomorrow.
The Quarry gardens were full of color, the rhododendrons were just coming out.

The magnolia added some fine colour

The ducks were supervising the action
We finished up at The Loggerheads for a Cockermouth beer, dark and strong.
We then gravitated to The Bull for lunch where I had a Marston's (Wolverhampton) bitter. Well you have to don't you.
Right next to us was a party of five lady pensioners who split up the bill in fine detail and money was being passed back and forth with great precision. Then out came the paper agendas with pens and pencils to set up the next meeting.
Just before supper we went out to the Admiral Benbow pub which is just around the corner.  It doesn't look much from the outside but is reasonable inside.  The stout on draft was from the Six Bells Brewery in Bichops Castle.  Not too bitter and a little nutty.
