Building of the day - The Kings Head on Mardol. I love the way it hangs out into the street. There cannot be a straight piece in the building. |
Although there was a force 10 gale in the Irish Sea the winds here were heavy but not fierce. It started bright but by the time we were ready to go out it had started raining lightly. We waited until it left off and had a short stroll around.

We had a late lunch at the Old Post Office. The name derives from when it was a posting inn or coaching inn and dates well before the Royal Mail started, Brakspears Bitter was good as was the roast beef and Yorkshire pud with an excellent horseradish sauce.

There is a well known poster of the doors of Dublin. The doors of Shrewsbury are equally as interesting.
and likely exhibit greater variety. This one is on Fish Street. A solid wooden affair with metal reinforcements. |
